Description

  • 2 lbs russet potatoes, peeled and sliced into 1/4-inch rounds
  • 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine heavy cream, melted butter, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Layer half of the potato slices in a greased baking dish. Pour half the cream mixture over them and sprinkle with half of the cheese. Repeat layering.
  4. Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until golden brown.
  5. Let rest for 10 minutes before serving.
